Global Growth & Innovation

A global, actively managed growth and quality strategy investing in companies with a structural, long-term earnings growth outlook.

Looking up at a diamond-gridded glass tower.

A top-down view identifies the mega structural trends, the technologies and innovations that create long-term tailwinds. A bottom-up process then identifies the companies that are best in class, with a sustainable technological advantage or innovation edge.

The strategy looks for two kinds of company: niche innovative disruptors operating in massive industries with long, growth and quality runways, healthcare and health-tech are obvious examples, and innovative aggregators that harness convergent industries and technologies to build self-reinforcing platforms, such as businesses built on big data, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, SaaS and AI.

The strategy is benchmark unconstrained: a high-conviction portfolio built around growth opportunities, not index weights. It uses the same investment team, ITD framework, valuation method and ESG-MOAT scorecard as our South African strategy.
