Information Officer
Aviraag Ramdhani, aviraag@effectuscapital.co.za. There is no Deputy Information Officer. All requests for access to records and all POPIA requests go to the Information Officer.
How to request a record
- Complete Form 02 (Request for Access to Record), prescribed under Regulation 7 of the PAIA Regulations, 2021.
- Send it to the Information Officer at the address above.
- Give enough detail to identify the record, yourself, the form of access you need and the right you want to exercise or protect.
- Pay the prescribed request fee, and any access fee invoiced, before the record is provided. The request fee is R140.00; access fees are those prescribed in the PAIA Regulations, 2021, and the manual lists them.
- If you request on behalf of someone else, include proof of the capacity in which you act.
The Information Officer will ordinarily decide within 30 days of receiving a request. That period may be extended where PAIA allows, and you will be told if it is.
If you are not satisfied
PAIA does not provide an internal appeal against a decision of a private body. Within 180 days you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to court. The Information Regulator's guide on how to use PAIA, and its current contact details, are on inforegulator.org.za .
